Re: Bankroll discipline
I am not a 3 star but I have a couple of ideas that might be of interest. We have set up a account with the casino for the marker at several of the casinos. This help with not having to carry a large amount of money, I don't think the casinos care about your money just theirs, also the casino will give you 14 days, I know that is right about Gold Strike and Resorts but I think Sam's town gives you 30, anyway this lets you write a check against your line of credit not having to go threw a second party that okay's the check. (had really bad trouble with identify theft because of this some one at the agency got into the data base and sold it out) and you can write a marker if you want to and pay it back before you leave if you are lucky??.
The other idea is a pocket safe, I saw a ad on one of these where you have this wallet sized safe and leave the key at home. Once you put the money in you cant take it out with out the key. Like everyone I or my wife have hit something and before lone the money is a lot less than it was to start with, and you still owe taxes.

You are right Duckhunter, nothing sucks more than hitting a jackpot and coming home with nothing. If you(anyone) perfect the games you play eventually you will have face a similar situtation. Money management and bankroll discipline is the most important facet to master with Video Poker or any other game. In my opinion whatever you have to do to minimize losses and keep your winnings is worth it.
Me personally, I have a budget and for the most part stick to it. I take the necessary precautions to accomplish the above. I like to leave my debit card at home because I have been known to hit the atm for more money. I never withdraw a lot but I find the atm efforts are usually in vain.
