Nancy they call my name too! I can be exhausted but I hate to go to the room! And then I cant wait to get up in the morning and go down and play! We always say we will go for breakfast first but that means walking past the STP machines-yeh right!

Here, the casinos close at 2 AM and reopen at 8 AM - I don't know if that makes things better or worse.   When the machines start calling my name, I've wondered if I'll get in trouble if I pretend to sleepwalk and go down in my jammies and slippers for some sleepplay.

On more than one occasion during Vegas trips I've woken up in the middle of the night and gone back down to the casino for "just a few hands" until I get sleepy (right).

SMan, was that on 3-play quarters? awesome RF total even if it wasn't. Trying to or thinking that one can re-invent the VP wheel doesn't make a lot of sense to me. I've occasionally hit big right away. I'll cash out and put another bill in but it all balanced out at the end so I stopped doing that. All the folks that put in a lot of research hours as well as number crunching to figure out this VP gig did this for all to benefit and maybe profit from what otherwise might be a casinos modest income.(house income is 60% from machines.) If you can afford to play at the $20 level, more power to you and best of luck. Just be appreciative of the work that went into these perfect play programs and remember they're all random events when you hit the deal/draw.

CD, I suppose it's now a late night snack and a few QQs when you wake up at night.

Yeah, you betcha, when the stockholders who are making a FORTUNE on gaming stocks were projecting their earnings they forgot all about the "quit while you're ahead" huge winners who are absolutely bankrupting the casinos. The CEO of Harrahs is standing on a street corner in Vegas with a tin cup in one hand and a tattered sign in the other hand, and the sign reads "Why oh why did you quit while you were ahead!!??!!

The first RF I hit this month was on triple-play quarters. The last 3 have been on single line.

Nice hit SM.  Looks like you were playing an old school machine that accepted coins.  On my last trip to Vegas I noticed lots of these types of machines in the downtown area.  I didn't know there were still so many around.

I am going to rub the picture on the screen for good luck

Sounds like most of us are the same way when it comes to wanting to keep playing.  When I first arrive in Vegas on vacation I feel like a kid in a candy store.  I like to check in, drop off the bags and go to the casino for a few hours.  I am also one of those who prefers late night playing.  My wife always goes to bed by 1am and I will stay up until 3 or 4am, sometimes later.  It all depends on the cash flow.  In my younger years my tolerance for loss was greater than it is now.  I have learned from experience that once you lose a certain amount it is time to quit.  Losing toooo much takes the fun out it.  I always feel like I am still in the game if a big fly can get me back up to speed.  But as I near the point to where a royal is necessary to break even I usually scream Uncle for the night.

Pretty is usually not in my vocabulary.  I reserve this word for my wifes cockapoo and for royals.  Just is not a manly term.  But I will tell you what, I think royals are downright pretty.  Never seen one I didn't love.

Those do feel good don't they SM?  I noticed you drew 2 to it which from what I've been seeing seems to be the most common hit (based on memory and not statistics!)  The last three I've hit, I held 4 on the first, 3 on the second and the last one was dealt to me.  But, this last weekend, I couldn't hit a Flush let alone a RF!Anxious to get back for another go at it.
