Faygo, don't fret too much. It took about the same amount in Vegas to bring everything to a screeching halt.

maybe vegas will get back to basics like inexpensive rooms food and shows and improve vp payouts out of desperation. If the suits listened to president obama about getting to work and not being so greedy. an example of their greed is for a couple to go for a long weekend at a "moderately priced" place like rio can spend over $1000.00 for room and meals, add 125+ for a ticket to a show like "O" which is not a big name rock star. And the additude is that the show is "sold out" but with a $20+ tip can make two tickets appear. Harrahs going private equity is a example of greed as they have to much debt and wanted to sell off 2 or 3 properties before the market really went bad. all harrahs properties have 98.5% payout vp or less so I am using up the comps until they shut me off. I feel they will file chapter 7 and other casinos will gladly give me comps as they will "find the lists from harrahs players

Just cracks me up as it took over a foot of snow  in Mi. to drop the Expressway speeds from 75 MPH to 65 MPH. Oh faygo, I can tell you remember and miss MI in winter! This has to be the most beautiful winter ever! It's up to a hot 30 degrees. However, the other day it was 6 BELOW when I drove half way over to swim at 6:30 AM. Exposed extremities have been known to fall off at that temp. I realized the schools were closed so the pool should have also been closed. I returned home and when I awoke I learned the pool was open after all.Floridians are having a problem dealing with 56 degrees this week. Wimps!During the summer, a CA comedian amused the audience when he mentioned the posted 70 MPH on I 75 was only a suggestion. We have seen how people drive on CA expressways and it's scary!

faygo, MOTOWN celebrates 50 years! click on freep.com and scroll way down below all the 2009 Detroit Auto Show listings on lower right hand side  to SPECIAL REPORTS and click on the record graphic at "Motown Anniversary". More stories and videos will appear for YOU! This is guaranteed to bring back a flood of MI memories! We recently toured the Motown Museum and thoroughly enjoyed that experience! Highly recommended!

I never could really wrap my arms around the Motown sound.  It came along and pushed Doo Wop off the airways and for the I decided not to like it even if it was good. Thanks for sharing though.

Oh, and is the left lane of I696 still 95-98 MPH. (Mi. version of the Autobahn).

Faygo-if you like do-wop you would ahve loved the Taj New YEars Eve party we went to. Jerry Blavat (a famous Philly DJ) and all do-wop music. Lots of line dancing! A little before my time though.

Jerry performs all over AC.  Get offers all the time for one of his shows.  Of course there was none better then the Wolfman.

Faygo, out thisaway, it was "the Real Don Steele, Huggy Boy and Art Laboe." Gotta love that doo-wop and vocal harmonizing!

I remember Cousin Brucie! Did he have a nationally syndicated show? I remember the name along with another show which did harmonies/doo-wops with Tony Allen (the night owl)
