Finally!  So when are you going?I've been thinking of staying at the Ritz Carlton at Lake Las Vegas...any input...anyone?  But NEVER for the VP play at the casino (Monte Carlo?).Surprised that place is still open, great casino, good restaurant options, super location - but no visitors...not even Eduardoooooo.

Good luck to the Eduardos! Hope you find what you're looking for (RF) and get that coveted W2-G. Happy Anniversary, belated or otherwise.

To quote Ginxxxx, Casino at MonteLago next door has a few positive games from quarters up but you have to find them. JoB, DB, DDB and FPDW are there to be had but they'll probably not last much longer.

Overall, the positive games in Vegas Valley are disappearing more and more contrary to SOME peoples beliefs. The whole notion of a major strip property installing "full pay" games to attract more players is hogwash. They want players to come and play, not AP's looking to skim the percentages. They'd rather have someone sit and play 6/5 BP or DDB than a whole bank of 9/6 Jacks full of players.

Trip report: The Bellagio was beautiful. It was memorable having a room with a view of the fountains and the strip. I'm glad we stayed there, but it was probably a once in a lifetime thing for us. There are just too many nice places to stay in Vegas and I would rather experience something new since there really wasn't much to offer besides the room and view. The VP there is about as ugly as I have seen. I played a little at the bar but could not bring myself to play any more there. A 20 vanishes faster than an enchilada on those machines. I think I blew 60 bucks and we gambled maybe another 40 in the late hours on super cheap machines. We ended up playing the rest of the time at the Hilton where the pay tables are better. This of course meant that we ate fewer expensive meals at the Bellagio itself (though we dined rather well on this trip) and since we were taken off-site, we didn't do much else there either. We did spend a little time to take it all in, but we definitely didn't feel any obligation to stick around like I'd hoped to.

So... even though we ended up at the Hilton on full pay machines, the vp still went ugly. I can't even think of any memorable hits that I have myself (no royals or deuces for sure) but my wife did alright.

We were sitting at a ten play machine playing 9/6 jacks or better. She hit a few quads in the span of a few minutes and I told her to just switch over to DDB for 5 or 10 hands. On the third hand she hit Aces.  Cash. Out.

So, the Hilton now has my 2 favorite machines in all of vegas... the good old full pay Loose Deuce in the sports book, and these 10 play quarter machines right off the lobby.

Next time I go back, I think that's where I will hunt my royal flush.

Plus I love to give the Hilton my business, even though it was a loss this trip. They are fantastic with the offers and they maintain some full pay machines there. I don't mind having to track them down back in the Sportsbook. These machines are why I go out of my way to play there when I'm anywhere near the strip. The food in the Sportsbook is great too, if anyone finds themselves there. I had my first Cuban sandwich ever and it was great.

But... gambling was a smal part of this trip and mostly we just enjoyed ourselves. We did some shopping, went to see the Lion Kin (wonderful) and soaked up Vegas. Great trip.

I'm glad you and your wife enjoyed the trip Eduardo. I haven't stayed at the Bellagio yet even though I have stayed ay many different hotels there. For some reason I have always prefered the Rio and I would much rather have a room with a mountain view than overlooking the Strip.

I will have to make a stop at the LVH to try a Cuban as I have never had one either and I understand they are very tasty sandwiches. As for the 10 play I usually only play them if I have a few extra bucks to do so and I'm happy to hear your wife hit aces, congrats again and good royal hunting. Ted.

I was thinking you would at least get a royal from the trip from the machines that is.
