Ginxxx, Boops, and Marie,According to Wikipedia, Exploding head syndrome is a condition that causes the sufferer occasionally to experience a tremendously loud noise as originating from within his or her own head, usually described as the sound of an exposion,
roar, waves crashing against rocks, loud voices or screams, a ringing
noise, or the sound of an electrical short circuit (buzzing). The cause of exploding head syndrome (EHS) is not known, though some physicians have reported a correlation with stress or extreme fatigue. The condition may develop at any time during life and women suffer from it slightly more often than men.   Attacks can be one-time events, or can recur. It has not yet been proven that excessively lengthy or mathematical posts on videopoker.com can bring on EHS.  I'm guessing if I make enough of these posts, we can increase the sample size enough so that we can determine if such posts make a statistically significant difference in the frequency of cases of EHS.In most cases, EHS occurs when individuals are in a state between asleep and
awake (Perhaps some of these posts cause the reader to nod off).  In some cases repeated attacks lead to the sufferer gaining a fear
of sleeping or resting (or reading technical posts), as this is the most common time for attacks to
take place, and this can lead to the development of sleeping disorders
such as insomnia.Treatment:
Symptoms may be resolved spontaneously over time. It may be helpful to reassure the patient that this symptom is harmless.   Clomipramine has been used in three patients, who experienced immediate relief from this condition. Please keep up the reporting of EHS, so meaningful research can occur.  Should you want to make a donation to help in this research please forward any funds in care of Webman to my attention.  Thanks in advance for your efforts in finding a cure.

My own personal solution for EHS is to keep a roll of duct tape next to my PC and apply it tightly around my head whenever a New2vp post comes up, just leaving a slit big enough to see through.  I decided on duct tape because that stuff holds anything together.

New2vp PM'd me a short time ago and said it might have been better to send that info in a PM.  I replied that I'd be embarassed if he went to the time and trouble of writing long posts just for little ol' me, so I suggested future posts like that should be done publicly as well.  So any hate mail can be sent to me.  I'll be happy to reimburse anyone who decides to go the duct tape route like I have.

What I was concerned about was New2vp's word count. Oh wait, that thread ended quite awhile ago. CD do you prefer one color of duct tape over another or do you just "stick" with the original silver? And for those who may be inclined to send me hate mail please send it to cd as per his request.
I'm looking forward to the March contest.

Silver's fine for me, but the ladies might prefer to color-coordinate.

I thought that New2vp simply made up that information on EHS, but I checked Wikipedia and there really is an Exploding Head Syndrome!

My old simulation is compiled code, and as SM said, millions of hands can be played out very quickly.  That really isn't a viable approach in Excel (which is slow as molasses) for tasks performed regularly, so I appreciate all of the posted information which both simplifies the task and is more accurate.  So I say, keep the info coming.

EHS does occur. Have you ever heard a transformer blow ? Once it occurs you sleep blissfully.

I've had EHS experiences for many years. This morning I heard a dog bark loudly and knew it was imaginary since we don't own a dog. I treat it like I treat any dream.

But in this case I think I'll blame it on new2vp.

I'm wondering now, if it has something to do with the rapid images of cards being displayed for hours on end.
