CD will be greatly missed for his commitment, knowledge, and service to those here. He took time to PM me on several occasions to help me better understand how to play VP. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family.
Hi Webman,

We heard through the grapevine that CDDENVER, member Chris Day, passed away July 18th.  One of our members emailed us through the Facebook group.

I would like to propose (and it has much support), that our next contest be in his memory.

Do you think you could put a "In Memoriam:  CDDENVER" somewhere prominent in the Contest area so as many members as possible know he's passed on and we are dedicating this month's tournament to him?

Thanks much for any and all consideration.

Fellow players Webman has done this. Check the top of the rules page(which nobody reads usually, myself included) to see it.
I saw the banner first time in the contest. Nice job, WebMan.

I'm in utter shock. I'm so sad to hear of CD's (Chris Day's) passing. I chatted with him several times and he was very intelligent and insightful about the game and about life in general. CD, I hope heaven is full of royal flushes and jackpots for you.

I wanted to wait until official word of his passing was out (even though I made a comment that some of you caught) before I paid my respects to Chris here.

I share all of the sentiment that you have shown for Chris here and I, personally, was happy to consider him a friend. There aren't many people that I let into my personal life but he was on this short list. I will miss his opinions and logic; his wit and intelligence; his caring and easygoing nature. Most of all I will miss his friendship.

VIA CON DIOS MI AMIGO, RIP.

For the last 3 years or so, Chris and I always had a thing every day of trying to get ahead of each other in the daily scores,  whether it be by 1 or 10,000. We would always go to the end of the night trying to get ahead of each other. Had many good chats with Chris, he seemed like a smart & really funny guy and he will be greatly missed. My deepest sympathies to his family and anyone that was close to him. God bless you Chris, you will be greatly missed !!

cd, I keep wondering what you would add to all these posts if you could and, still being in denial, keep waiting for that last post.  I would write more about your friendship, your wit, and how you will be missed, but you always teased me that my posts were too long.  So, I'll just say ditto, ditto, ditto.

Chris was a good and decent person as well as someone who had a sharp mind. He also never shied away from calling them as he saw them, in VP as in life. He will be missed.
