Re: Loosest Vegas Video Poker
I have heard that also. That place is ready to be tore down I think. I was told Marriot was putting a casino resort in there.

to Shadowman: since you seem more on the up and up than myself, did you hear any rumblings about the Cannery buying out the Nevada Palace and dusting it for a new structure? I seem to recall a story about that in the Review-Journal awhile back.We drove by Nevada Palace Saturday and almost stopped. Is it another one of those "local's casinos" like the "Longhorn?"....sawdust on the floor and spittoons scattered around? A little too much "atmosphere" for us.

Sorry MikeA, I posted a reply in the wrong column. I have'nt been to the Nevada Palace in a long time. Similar to Longhorn or Gold Rush (real El Cortez-ish) I don't care for ambience as long as the VP's good.

Since I drive by the new Cannery East almost every day I can see the construction progressing. I think it is planned to open next August.
I haven't seen any plans for the old Showboat.

SM: I posted a query on another column. Have you been by the Pallazzo to take a gander? I'm only curious as I usually stop and check out the new kid on the block. Strange because Red Rock is so nice and they've got some decent VP too!

But, my wife really felt uncomfortable there. She got "blessed" by the "floor guy" who had a conniption fit when she hit the cash out button with something like $7.50 in the machine. EVERYTHING there was hand pay!

No. I tend to follow the forums like VPFree and see what people have to say. If it was closer I'd probably go, but it's a long drive and I've been waiting for some other reason to go. So far, nothing has come up.

I most certainlywon't play mind you, just gawk at all the amenities like a good tourist and glance at the VP paytables( if there are any) as I stroll past towards the exit. One exception was the Treasure Island sorry TI where we actually stopped at the Starbucks
Speaking of VPFREE, do you know how to dump the inbox? Iv'e got like a zillion e-mails that I can't dump, only open and read. Theres no delete feature from what I can see anyways (and that aint far) I rarely get to the south end except South Point, Did they knock down the Klondike as expected?
