I've come to the conclusion that new2vp is really the next advancement in computer technology after Watson. They've been testing it here to see how well it co-exists with the us mere mortals. I know huh? I thought to myself, why do I even bother posting when they have him. When he becomes old2vp,  It'll put us all out of a job.Progressives are my specialty, when a non-progressive player can match or surpass my knowledge something is very odd. ~FK

Who on earth are you? And would you like a job? I rounded down. It's like you copied my math work. And your calculations are in fact slightly better than what I did.Would you mind if I posted your post on vpFREE?I needed to do one like this anyway and it seems silly to redo your work when it was flawless.~FKP.S. I have some dishes that need cleaning as well. I always know that I am on to something when Boops needs a new cranium.  Thanks, Boops.I was New2vp when I named myself here at the time this forum opened up but I was old to math, statistics, and probability.  I have posted here a lot about theoretical video poker over the last 5 or 6 years but very infrequently on vpFREE (under a different screen name).  I'm afraid my theoretical experience far outweighs my practical experience as I live many hours away from any reasonable video poker and have no desire to play for cash online.Sure, you can re-post my words at vpFREE giving my screen name here credit.  Thanks for asking first.I do a little business/quantitative consulting, some teaching, and would be happy to entertain any offers; however, my girlfriend will attest to the fact that I'm awful at the mundane (but highly crucial) things like doing dishes {Over the years she helped me to understand the importance of including the parenthetical phrase as critical to describing such tasks}.

Thanks s-man, but most frequent visitors know that shadowman is the Genuine Big Fish in this pond.  He is the most talented Voice of Experience here.  I'm more of a spectator with a couple ideas of how to bend a few digits.I have killed a lot more threads here than I have ever extended, so I'm often not certain whether such posts are that helpful to too many.  I realize that my tastes are dissimilar from many; unfortunately for some, that frequently doesn't prevent me from waxing numerically anyway.  But I figure it's really not that tough just to click the mouse and jump to more preferable posts.Edit--P.S.  Plus s-man is a much better bowler.  I only averaged over 200 one year in a league, while he was able to bowl with greats.

And, we all know how important bowling skills are to winning at VP.  BTW, this "pond" has room for lots of big fish ... the more the merrier. I have reasonable math skills but not to the level of new2vp. Your posts have been great at helping me increase my knowledge base.

Thanks.  And might I add quite clever on your part...which is not unexpected.  (You are much more diplomatic than most, including me!)With the current feeding frenzy over there from a few on just about anything you say, this is a good way to get some info out without having to duck and cover...and we'll just have to see if the slings, arrows, and brickbats keep coming.I thought the ganging up on you over there was despicable and showed some traits of petty jealousy...but some of them are not as civil as the typical poster here, especially to newcomers without groupthink opinions.  (Nevertheless, there is quite a bit of interesting info that emanates from that forum.)

I appreciate your comments. I found the kerfuffle on vpFREE to be quite illuminating. I went to my usual psychology source, gave her the list of posts and then posed her some questions;  what she had to say about it should prove valuable insight for all of us that use on-line forums.Be looking for a post in the next few days entitled "Why not ask Why?"~FK

I've always thought of vpfree as the place to go for your vp info. I left because of all the pettiness, but because there are so many members that's not unexpected. Frank rubs some people the wrong way not out of jelousy but because of his delivery, at least that's what I thought. i'm surprised people aren't on him for having his show on that rinky dink radio station. I've tried it in Las V. and on the internet and it doesn't come in well or stream well.
