I just looked this Ak-Chin up. Its an unimpressive Indian casino associated with Harrah's the same way Rincon in San Diego is, in an obscure part of the desert south of the Phoenix area. That's all there shows is Indian casinos in and around that city too. I guess the lure for all those special 7 stars superstars is the free trip or the cheap cigarettes or probably plentiful liquor stores nearby. But if a casino program flew ME to Phoenix Arizona for free, Id stay in the city and enjoy myself.
Well, just to clarify a bit,  I am not a "superstar", but I am a 7 Star. Yes, they did pay for everything associated with the trip for both my wife and I. I do not smoke, and I will usually have maybe one drink in the evening while playing VP in a casino, so I cannot tell you about any nearby liquor stores. I could have chosen other locations to travel to as part of the Tier II experience, such as Atlantic City, St Louis, Lake Tahoe or New Orleans, but the golf was the reason that I picked this one. I was at the Southern Dunes Golf Course each day as part of the Golf Experience. They did an exceptional job, and I enjoyed myself very much.

Glad you and your wife had a nice time Billy.  Ak Chin is an hour drive from my house so don't go there.  Scary that there are 2 within 12 minutes.  I am at the bottom of a shoe in a cow pasture stature at Harrah's anyway.  .  As always, look forward to reading your reports!!

Harrah's doesn't know cheap smokes. $80 per carton.

Any 7 Stars coming in for the golf should rent a car and drive 20 minutes north to Wild Horse Pass to gamble. Lone Butte, a sister casino is only 10 minutes away.
Why you ask?

1. It's not a Harrah's.
2. Better VP - 9/6 DDB,TDB,JOB,DB ($.25 - $5)
3. Shula's Steak House makes The Range look like Mickey D's.
4. A real show room. BB King, Rob Schnieder, Rodney Carrington, Don Rickles,to name a few.
5. 2 High limit area's.
6. Food Court Area. Fat Burger, Mexican, Italian, Boars Head Deli, 24/7 coffee shop with an Asian menu.
7. Real casino host's that can write comps.
8. Ling and Louie's Asian Bar & Grill.
9. Starbucks
10. Did I mention it's not a HARRAH'S?
