The problem Vman with all your simulations is you run them as one big long simulation, with a very large bankroll, unbroken and under the assumption the game at caesars is operating EXACTLY like yours, and obviously you cannot make that guarantee. But regardless, my results are culled from over 3 years of play broken up between dozens of seperate "sessions" (actually about 43 seperate sessions according to all my notes). Some sessions I started with only 75 or a hundred bucks, some 300-400, and about 9 times where I actually put in between 500 and 1000 (usually when the progressive meter was unusually high on that bank of machines, like a jackpot value of 1200 bucks or more.   Note:  those 6 machines at caesars have an excruciatingly slow meter, and it takes approximately 8 hands of full credit betting (i.e. 10 dollars coin in) to make the meter advance 1 penny, such that if the jackpot reads $1,080 then that would mean 64,000 hands have been played at full credit since the last royal was hit. Many of my sessions obviously went bust, especially at the lower buy in levels. You are comparing apples and bowling balls in your attempt to either rub it in or make me look stupid, not that I give a turd anyway, it doesnt get my money back from all the rigged SLOT machines-posing-as-Video-Poker in AC.

It doesn't matter if they are broken up or not. And yes, this assumes a random 9/6 JoB machine without making any errors. Actual returns will always be lower due to errors. Not enough to reach your claim though, unless you are a terrible, terrible player. And I am comparing the exact data you gave me if one assumes the machine is random. Obviously you don't think it is from a random deck, and I am basically I am yelling at you to quit the game if these are your actual results because the likelihood of that bad of a result on a random machine is nearly impossible. Also this was for anyone else who might be curious on what long-term results on a full-pay video poker machine would look like.

Last week I was looking at a copy of casino magazine where they have actual average payouts for casinos. Atlantic City was nowhere near 83%. More like 90% and better.

Of course video poker payouts weren't separated from slots. While the payouts are poor, compared to most states, they don't appear to be THAT bad.

Maybe next months issue will show the casinos lower payouts?!

Quick update folks. Went to AC again a couple of nights ago to cash in on last free play opportunities for July at Harrahs and Revel. Cashed out all free play and then some at Harrahs. After a bite at Bills and a few Fireball shots (&@?!) i headed to Revel where the guy at box office desk was nice enough to match my best Harrahs offer even though it was after midnight. Cashed out enough for return cab fare to Caesars where I went back to see how the quarter progressive meter was looking. The jackpot had just reset, having hit probably minutes earlier. I only had an hour to kill before my return bus ride so I sat down at the same machine I had hit the dealt royal on the previous week. I put in my $20 slot play ticket from the bus and within five minutes I got ANOTHER ROYAL in clubs after being dealt 3 to it. Pic to follow :)

Well here's the proof ... same machine, same result, just not dealt They say things come in threes so maybe I should test out that theory!

Sensational!  OF course you'll hit another in this life time if you play long enough! Think positively! Try that machine, again! I hear it calling your name, NOW!

Marie, you must be psychic ... look what happened!

Congrats!!! Congrats!!! Congrats!!! Tomcat...
I have never gotton a dealt royal...
I have had some good weird stuff happen though...
Here are few of the best ones on DDB Dollar single line...
I hit two royals at the Red Rock in less than twenty minutes in vegas a couple of years back.
It was on May 1st the reason I remember the date is because it's my birthday...
I hit four A's with kicker, After getting paid the attendent asked me to clear the machine when
I hit the button I got delt the four A's again with a king and drew for the kicker and got a 5...
Was playing a Bar machine with real bad payback...8/5 played it because I felt like drinking and
did not want to wait on the waitress...LOL...This machine gave me very possible combination of
Quads with kicker and without...and a royal to a tune of $21,000 in about 3 hours...
But the weidest was a progressive the meter was right under $10,000...
I held an A of dimaond at that moment the waitress arrived with my Miller Lite as I started to
turn to tip her I hit the deal button without looking at what was delt...When I looked
at her face her eyes were as big as silver dollars as she pointed at my machine's screen...
Yes it was the royal...I asked her to bring me two more miller lite beers on her next trip back and tipped her a hundred dollars for bringing me good luck...
I have some more but this are the ones I remember like if it happened yesterday...
Maybe some day I will get a dealt Royal...
