All I know that the casino does not bring you a W-2G unless you hit over $1200 on a single payout. Thus, it is reported to the IRS. They also give you a copy. I can hit nickels and dimes all day long on slot machines and video poker, and there is no paper trail.

Not many...but if you're technically ahead at the end of the year, you're supposed to report. But sans W2G's, it's usually not a big deal.
