Being in a state with a negative EV limit on VP by compact, by definition I'd save money if I never played in a casino. I have to look on it as a form of entertainment, which means setting and keeping to daily limits. I'm hoping, maybe counting, on making enough at table poker to be able to run some of it through the machines (they have my favorite Dean Martin's Wild Party slots too) for a chance of one of those Royals I hear so much about. Besides which there's a couple casino comeons in the form of free play with an advance purchase I'll take advantage of.

But basically you're right, VP on cruise ships (or in states like mine) is a mug's game. Watthehell, watthehell, as mehitabel might say.
