Re: Casino Video Poker Etiquette
Remember, though, that a casino is the BEST place to have a fight, as long as the other guy throws the first punch. It's all on tape. UNLESS....the guy happens to be a 6'5", 260lb Ex-commando or professional boxer, in which case you will have the privilege of being in the right......DEAD right ..... But you are smart enough, billyjoe, to never pick a fight with someone bigger than thyself, right???? UNLESS.....HE happens to be a 5 foot nothing clone of JET LI or some Ninja master...... But I can tell billyjoe's true mantra is Something like "I'm not a fighter, I'm a lover!" ????
There is really very little to fight over in a casino. I would never consider picking a fight with anyone over just about anything, unless, of course, it involved mistreatment of a lady.
I do, however, believe in standing your ground. Like I said - just throw the first punch, and I got you either way - a lawsuit if you connect, or an embarrassing tape of "what happened next?" if you missed.

omg... we just spent 10 days in vegas and stayed at the gold coast..... I think every slap happy people were there... can't tell you how many times I got up and went somewhere else.. then you have the ones who hit the max button every time.... I was playing across from this guy who was actually slamming his fist down on the buttons... I was soooooooooo ready to crack him over the head I finally got up and walked away... with all the slot people around I am surprised they didn't say anything to him.... sure does ruin your game... maybe that's why I lost all the time and that's probably why all the buttons don't work...think?And I wonder why I get pissed when buttons are not working! Sheesh....

Has anyone been next to someone playing video poker, who hits max bet everytime, instead of hit repeat bet. Machine keeps sounding off.

I confess, I probably hit Max Bets about once every 10th hand or so. It is something that I started doing after failing to do so after re-loading the machine, and sure enough, I was dealt a premium hand with only partial bets on each line.

I will occasionally hit the max bet button just to change things up a little. I will also pull my player's card out and reinsert it into the reader or do a couple other little things like that. This is all because I am just a supersticious Irishman.

Sounds like a mirror of what I do Ted. If nothing else, it makes you feel better. The only difference is 1/4 Irish, 1/2 German/Austrian, and the rest is Italian, English, and Native American. Family on mom's side has been here since the 1600's.....Now back to vp.... ..PS..I get up, stretch, move out of the space and sit back down again like I am a new player for that machine. Did that yesterday and the first hand was a dealt 5 of a kind on Bonus Deuces Wild.

I tried those glasses with the mustache once to fool the machine into thinking it was somebody else playing. Didn't work.

That's because even when you put the fake mustache and glasses on you were still calling the machine a hockey puck every two minutes.

I try to have as little interaction as possible with my fellow players. I don't talk to them, look at them, or otherwise have anything to do with them. I will wave smoke away and I will give dirty looks, including eye rolls, but I won't talk to them. I'm a very private player and don't need any more new friends, especially ones that smoke or reek from 30-year old Tabu perfume.
