Re: Golden Nugget Las Vegas circa 1998
I posted that I got blanked and will not play there again....a good idea? I have done well above and beyond the expected return lifetime and even in 2014. Getting blanked and bad service/treatment were enough to keep me from going back. I do have to agree that a "pay schedule" is not what you will always find when playing VP. I hit a royal on a 98% machine in Vegas just a few weeks ago with several other great hits at other casinos with even uglier pay schedules....only to go to Reno and get my butt kicked playing a good pay schedule. As a side note I think all of these new computer "connected" machines including slots have some kind of controls built in that are accessible to someone in a booth somewhere.....guess I need a tin foil hat!
Here's another "R" word.... Really don't get the "tin foiled hat" reference...am I just "ridiculously" stupido?
That would be estupido Gale...and no you are not nor are any of us here. We do stupid things of course like not quitting playing vp while we are ahead or at least playing smaller, but imo most all of the folks who post here could hold their own in any debate etc. Do we have opposite ends of the rainbow....of course, but that is what makes the world go around. . There is actually some validity to tin foil hats being able to block EMRs ( electro magnetic radiation) and several studies have been done on this over the years. As kids, we used to put balls of tin foil inside our hubcaps in hopes of jamming police speed radar traps. Never worked for me. . Saw a great bumper sticker the other day. " Never drive faster than your Guardian Angel can fly. "

I was not saying rigged. But like most/all gamblers/VP players I do get superstitious. If a casino has a negative vibe people will not play...this is the way my trip felt to me. Casinos have spent billions of dollars developing and trying different ways to get the customer to part with their money. I like most people need to feel comfortable and having bad service and treatment were the beginning...the bad VP play (worse ever for us) just topped the entire thing off. I got my new tin foil hat fed express today so I should not wander over into the realm of the crazy for awhile again.
I can't remember who but didn't someone here once hit a royal while playing at a gas station in Las Vegas?
Getting back ON TOPIC, I do not remember those specific stats whether it was the progressive payouts at the Golden Nugget(GN) or who played in the 2002 Super Bowl. I do remember one Super Bowl though in which the Chicago Bears decimated the New England Patriots. The Patriots were really crushed by those barbarian thugs.
I hit a royal on dollars at a 7-11. I did post a pic of it.
I thought I remembered something like that happening DD, I just couldn't remember who was involved though.
