. . .

Thanks Webman. As you indicate, many of us are tired of the soap opera. We have pleaded numerous times for this to stop. Hope it works.

In my experience with other moderated forums, the only way to stop this nonsense is for the moderator to SUSPEND those members who continue to launch personal attacks on others. We all know the four or five members who persist in this immature behavior.

That way, there is no need to shut down threads which begin innocently enough on . . . .wait for it . . . the topic of VIDEO POKER!

Why are we all here: to read about video poker, not to read endless childish attacks by a few trolls.
Suspend them till they grow up.
Chances are, won't see them around much longer . . .
So DougJ by your own logic, you too would be suspended. There is a difference between launching a personal attack and defending yourself after being attacked.

Great job Ted! Congrats on those awesome hits. I am heading over to the Blue Chip on Thursday for my birthday and to watch the NFL draft. Hope some of your luck blows my way!

Tedlark, thank you for your follow up post. It was reasonable and believable. The fact that you shared that your belief that if you continued on a regular basis that you would have "losing" sessions makes your stories of winning more believable. For myself. I use to play at least twice a month. My play sessions would last about 16 to 24 hours in a 48 hour period. In the last two years my losses were amounting to two to three thousand dollars per session and that's only playing 25 cent multi-line with some 50 cent thrown in as well. Sure I hit many good hands but would play through them in no time flat. Playing the same way in prior years, I would come home on the positive side at least 50 percent of the time and bank roll those funds for later sessions. These last two years have been killers for me. I recently gave up with a self ban for a while. BTW, the last two comments by DaBurglar I thought were genuine and honest and not the least bit attacking toward Tedlark. I can understand his dis-belief because it is so unusual to have so much success that Tedlark describes. Thanks again Tedlark for your pictures, stories and follow ups. I truly hope you continue to stick it to the casinos. As for me, I miss playing but I don't miss the losses.

Cheers

Great job Ted! Congrats on those awesome hits. I am heading over to the Blue Chip on Thursday for my birthday and to watch the NFL draft. Hope some of your luck blows my way! Before it shuttered, the last 2 or 3 years the old STARDUST in Vegas was operating they had a special NFL draft day promotion in its sports book:   Aside from the usual free beer and hotdogs, they had several betting promotions whereby you could get 10-15% additional "bang for your buck" on NFL futures bets (yeah I know, in MAy who knows what is going to happen in the coming NFL year, but surprisingly a lot of people still place bets on their teams for the coming year!)    The idea was, as the NFL draft unfolds, sometimes a team's projected future odds for the coming year can change significantly, so the whole point of the Draft day promo was to help stir up action.   Of course, having guys in the sports book also makes them more likely to place a bet on something happening NOW, like a NBA playoff game, or Baseball game, etc. etc.Sadly, as far as I know, no one has picked up the Stardust's idea.......which makes me miss them all the more.    The Stardust Sportsbook was a trendsetter indeed.

I have to agree, DaB. It was a classic... So much to be missed....and at the time....thought it was nothing special....

Reminds me of the former Las Vegas Hilton, and what a classic sports book that was! Haven't been there since it converted to LVH and now the Westgate. Must take a look next time we are in town!

Thanks luvz. As for being in time out; it's been a long time since I've been called into the Principal's office.

Congrats on a good night Ted. It's good to know that the local casino pays now and then.
