Vegas is a power into itself. Nice to make a killing, but environment plays a large role in outcomes.

careful, with comments like that, someone will call you out and question why you even play.

You always worry whether we are REALLY winning or not. We know when we file our taxes whether it's a win or a loss for the year. Uncle Sam takes all of our W2Gs and if we can't come up with enough loss for the year, then we pay taxes on our winnings. so, it's easy to know that we are REALLY winning.

my response to another poster, had nothing to do with winning or losing. it had to do with the reference to only be able to get a winning hand, via being dealt one, which the other poster stated. i have NEVER questioned a single recreational player about winning or losing. and, i promise you , i do not worry about your results at all. i know most players lose money over the long term, i am just one of the few that admit it.

My reply was not in response to your comment, notes1, it was in response to a comment made by daburglar. I have seen him question the validity of wins on more than one occasion and my response was an attempt to explain how we know if we REALLY win or not. Certainly wasn't mean-spirited or directed at you.

It's not hard to keep notes on your sessions. I don't record machine numbers, missed royal draws,# of quads etc. I just record the game, denomination, date, casino and win or loss that session. Never did this prior to 2005, so any wins or losses prior to that, I just am not certain about. Only takes a minute and you can see where you stand for the year and past years. I am currently down $2,575 for the year, but am optimistic about a 99.7 game with cashback and comps giving me a chance to make up some ground. Good luck to everyone.

And hope you're not on min coin when luck does strike. I'll be doing half of my JOB full pay duty on max coin if if kills me! Max hand, min payout is an untenable outcome!

I am ok always playing max coin. I would personally be upset with myself on a less than max coin royal. I think even Phil plays max coin if the paytable is over 99%.
