Congrats! I got dealt a royal today on a $25 bet. I forgot how the hands auto-hold and it was game over... took me a second to realize what had happened, lol.

Nice hit. I've seen the royal as high as 22K progressive on those 25cent machines. It's about the only video poker games I know of where you can bet a small amount and even have the chance of winning a high amount, adds a little extra excitement, although extremely rare to hit.

LovePlusOne - autohold kicks in on a dealt royal. Last fall, I was dealt a royal at Seneca Allegheny that did not autohold.
The only rationale that I or anyone else could come up with for that is, in the game I was playing, deuces joker wild, a royal flush is not the top hand.

What class machines are at Seneca Allegheny? That may have had something to do with it.
