Wife's a heavy player but evidently never discusses the comps she gets, nor looked into how to max them out.
What did the mooch say last week? The fish rots from the head down.

They are taking seats away, casinos would lower returns with 10 or 20%
max bet. The single coiners also tend to gravitate to better tables.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------What an absurd statement. Is there a sudden seat shortage? Other that summer weekends, VP banks are as empty as they are full. And of course, better tables attract everyone with common sense.

My two cents, simply put...we need the bad players as well as the good, the 1 coin betters, the 2,3,4, and 5. Video poker needs a larger net and alternative ideas. Having said that, enough posts have been written on this forum about one coin vs full coin play to write a book. And everybody I think for the most part sees the weaknesses and strengths of each strategy. Personally, I always bet full coin because I have access to positive games, keep a bankroll for it, and am not willing to lower my expected return with a diminished royal flush. But although I play this way, I understand the reasons why others may want to play single coin or whatever X amount of coins. Just as long as we understand each other and where we are coming from...it's all cool.

You are not understanding the point.

Yes I believe single coin and video keno players are needed so that the casino can offer decent games.

These single coin advocates eventually make claims that their way of playing is vastly superior to mathematically proven methods by presenting misinformation or repetitiveness to support their claims. They are also creating a perception that players can play long periods of time and instill players to go to casinos more often to a point where discipline will not matter. Their counter arguments will be like the loss on "Today's Score" would have been lower than on max coin; which is not what serious players believe.

I said heavier bettor, not heavy bettor.
“What did the mooch say last week? The fish rots from the head down.”
What is that supposed to mean ???
Are you trying to sound like an intellectual ???
If so, you are failing badly.

I play at The Meadows in PA. People must not have much common sense there: There are a row of 6 old slant top machines four of which have the best paytables in the casino. Yet they are seldom occupied while the newer upright machines are almost always in use. I believe that the vast majority of VP players could care less about the paytables.

I'd agree with this too. My family and I are currently on vacation near a casino, and my mom is a casual vp player who enjoys ddb, so we've gone a few times to play.

There is one bank of 5 machines where for some reason 2 of them are 9/6, and the other 3 are 9/5. We were playing the 9/6s when she moved to a 9/5. I asked her why she's switching to an objectively inferior game, and she replied that hers 'wasn't paying out.'

Radar, that is poor common sense even from a comfort perspective. The slant tops are far more comfortable than the uprights, which also reflect the view opposing them. I only play the uprights while at Bally's because of the superior pay tables. But what an inconvenience.
