Ditto. Same in the buffet at the casino. And the 20% or more should be based on what the bill would be normally, not after being reduced by comps. And always, when tipping cash, hand it to the server. Never leave cash on a table especially in a casino.olds442jetaway wrote: ↑Mon Mar 30, 2026 6:05 pmAlways 20 % or more unless terrible. Can’t remember though that scenario. Probably more than 30 years ago. Quite often 20-25% Once in awhile, if I just get coffee and, the bill could be just 7 bucks or so. I will still leave a 5. The good server still has to work hard no matter what you order.

We have many favorite servers at Mohegan Sun, but one requires a short story. Going back with her at least 25 years, she has always been great. She is a server in the lounge where everything is on the house once you enter. About 8 years ago, she lost her beloved Rocco ( miniature Doxen ) and was heartbroken telling us the story. She said she still misses making his chicken dinner she made for him and trying to keep things a bit on the light side, she said to us…… they even make him pay for his Chicken in heaven. Ever since then, she gets her regular tip and then I hand her separately a dollar saying ….this one is for Rocco’s chicken ( senior discount ) in dog heaven. She was quite touched. Nowadays, I just say pretending I forgot, Oh! this is for Rocco’s dinner in heaven. She and some of the other servers are more like family now and they always seem glad to be waiting on us. By the way, FAA, if you would like me to ask to move this post to Bizarro, no problem
