Re: The VP Voodoo - A story of love
I think I am detecting a pattern with cd. Or it might be a pre pattern episode. Which is it?

I've been known to have episodes of various kinds, but I don't think this is one. If you're noticing something now I think it must be pre-pattern. The room I'm sitting in at the moment is getting kind of warm, so I'm thinking about going down to my basement with a frosty beverage where it's cooler to watch some TV. Does that help?

Sounds like it's not time to bet on cd. I'm switching machines.

Ah, Eduardo, but I haven't gone down to my basement YET to cool off. Still kind of warm. In fact it's still warming up in this room. So right now your scratch is still safe with me.
On the other hand, there are some storm clouds moving in which might cool things off some so that I won't have to go down to the basement at all.
I could even throw a real monkey wrench into the works by going out and mowing the yard instead. Try figuring THAT one out. ha-Ha-HA, BWAH-HA-HA-HA-HA*

Sounds like cd is getting close to a real hot spell.

I have lusted in my heart for the scooter - it's a beauty, especially if his is really painted wild orange. But that's it. CD, I thought you were more partial to colors like starbucks green and beige?

Ahhh...back to normal.
Ed, the green and beige pattern is an interesting one that I've noticed regularly over the years and taken advantage of many times. A good "hot" indicator in that it's almost always immediately followed by a satisfying beverage in a cup. I'm surprised at the number of times that recognizing that pattern has turned out well for me over the years.
Beware, though, if you decide to switch from (say) Grande to Venti. A barista I once sat next to on a flight to Hawaii told me that a different brewing method is used for each size, and you might not be as happy with the result. Stick with your base size most of the time, and only try the others when you've already reached your satisfaction goal for the year. Otherwise, experimenting with different sizes can be expensive. You might be wondering why I choose to risk losing the satisfaction I've achieved with further experimentation after reaching my goal, and there's a simple answer. I'm just a coffee junkie - I have to have it, and can't go without it.
As to my choice of color for the scooter, well it has to match the 'Vette, right? If I decide I don't like the color on either I can change them instantly, since they're virtual anyway. Not the most appealing color, I'll admit, but I like saying to the world "I've got enough dough that I don't have to CARE what I look like!" I'd also like to complain about whatever JERK changed the name of this thread! (uh-oh, I'm feeling it again)...
