Re: March Contest: Super Times Pay!
Hated this game even though I came in 83 or so. Would never play it for real money. Five play and triple play are my favorite games in the casinos, Played them all but not super times. Can't wait for Aprils contest, hope its a better game.

I enjoy every contest no matter the game being played. I did miss the VP chat box women (and maybe Billy Joe a little bit) I still smile at the things that were said in the Dec. contest when the wine begin to flow. I did notice in the top 100 scores that if you took away the one big hit most people would have scored between 2500 and 6000. Anyway thanks to web man and the VP staff and if you dont put back the chat box you might force me to become GOLD..............

Come on people ...It's free..It's suppose to be fun..Webman & the entire staff involved do a great job...I want to win as much as everybody else does..I take it for what it is a "Contest". Some people WIN & Some people LOSE..I enjoy reading & getting involved in the chats almost as much as the contest. Looking forward to the next contest...until then..Thanks vp.com...

Also, if these contests were rigged to favor gold members, they wouldn't be griping about all the sh*tty scores as often in the chat, now would they?!
Many of us Gold members are simply congenital whiners. If the contests were rigged to favor us, we'd just find something else to whine about.
My thanks to all of the site people who work on the contests for another nice one.

Not only do I now want that T-Shirt, but hopefully soon I can do the Gold thing (gotta bring the wife with me too, so that would be 2 Golds!!) and jump in the "fun". Maybe a 1 year Gold membership could be awarded in a future contest, if possible? And yes, thanks to everyone here who makes this site what it is!

Bubbagene, have to strongly disagree with you. I have been a Gold Member for almost two years and have entered most of the monthly contests and I have placed in the top 50 just once and it was this March contest. From my experience it looks like non-members win more contests. As a matter-of-fact I almost dropped my membership because of this fact. Why pay if you win more by NOT being a member. Any how, it is a great website and it's worth paying the dues.

There are a lot more non-gold players, which is why there are usually more non-gold winners in the contest. This past one sure seemed to be a fluke with the number of gold members in the top 10.
For those of you who are not sure why it's worth becoming a gold member (aside from being able to participate in the chat, which is a fun part of contests), many of the games available have training mode that allows you to practice your favorite games. My playing has definitely gotten better having the training mode. I give each practice session 200 hands, similar to a contest, in order to see how my game is improving.
