I don't like to discuss results, but this story bares telling. When living in Lake Tahoe I went eight months without hitting a Royal Flush, played exclusively video poker and my penalty during this massive no royal runner was only making several thousand dollars.We were playing things so strong running bad only meant less profit. Losing was next to impossible. This to me is pro gambling, where about the worse case senario is breaking even.

So much analysis for such a simple concept  My definition of winning or losing... 1.  Go to casino. Put $20 in machine.  Hit jackpot and leave.  Happy face. WINNER! 2.  Go to casino. Put $20 in machine.  Machine eats money and leave.  Sad face. LOSER! Wait for a month or so and try again. - D -

for a while tahoe had meters averaging 3,600 for quarters 8/5 bp 5%+Yeah that's after it was good. Our starting price for quarter 5-coin Royals in Tahoe was $7,500. But most of the time we didn't bother playing them even at that number, because there were Straight Flush and 4K progressives with larger edges and shorter cycles.I very clearly remember walking past a quarter at $12,500 and no one was playing. We just went home and came back the next day to hit it at $14,500 or something like that. It was a long time ago.Final note: On those Tahoe progressives, when we locked up the bank, our ratio of wins to losses was 20 to 1. Math predicted it would be around 24 wins to each loss. Guess we ran bad, ahh shucks.~FK

Very hard, very grueling, no benefits. And if you are good enough to play two machines at speed accurately you are good enought to do something else better for more money.You all probably know my sad story for getting into Pro VP, I won't bother to restate it here. Next time you're at San Francisco Bay, think of my Mom JoAnna Kneeland and my Dad Ted Kneeland. The bay is where I scattered their aches and where I suppose I'll end up as well.

Ive been wondering since reading about people who say they play 2 machines at a time. Must be confusing and I couldnt do it. Wouldnt want to either. But do you play the same game on both machines or a different one on each? Thanks!

But do you play the same game on both machines or a different one on each? Thanks!Except for some really rare exceptions, you always play the same game on each machine. The sole goal is to increase hand speed. It is also easier on the body, because of the more relaxed arm position. Your arms are naturally at your side, not in front of you.With proper training it is easier and faster.
