Linda, I am so, so sorry for your loss of beloved Xena.     She is now in her forever home and has no pain.    My heart goes out to you;   we have all been in your shoes and it is never easy.      Please take comfort that your friends are here for you.

Linda, Xena would want you to remember the good times. I can picture her playing now with CoCo and Zeke.

Linda: you, me and countless others out there know the heartbreak of losing a belovoed pet. .  Let's face it, we WERE or ARE lucky to know the loyalty of such animals.  We ALL have a story and we ALL know of what we speak.    Wondering if that bond has something to do with one of the reasons that I, for one, find some of these forum banters soooo annoying and inhumame, at times.   Get it together, folks!!!

Thank you all from the bottom of what's left of my heart.  Almost every one of you has known the pain of losing your companion and friend, and many have suffered even greater loss - children, parents, friends - and yet you took the time to offer support and condolences to someone you have never met with personal messages, phone calls, and through this forum. That really says something for what makes this website so, so much more than what it's name implies.  I have honored my promise to sweet, courageous Xena Warrior Princess to never let her suffer or lose her dignity. I only wish this promise could be made for humans as well.  My daughter offered a quote that I want to share, although I don't know who was the author "Dogs may not be our whole lives, but they make our lives whole"  For those of you who have never shared your life with an animal, I am sorry for your loss.

Linda, I am so very sorry. I know exactly what you are going through. I put my sweet Barak to sleep right before his 18th birthday. Both of us did not let our 4 legged loves suffer or lose dignity. Big hugs from Jaki, Keiko, Frankie & Johnny

I too am sorry for the loss of your beautiful Xena. You were blessed to have her and she was blessed to have you.
Pets give us so much love and I also know the heartache we endure when they pass. May you find peace.
