In any vp game in any expected return, one can run well or donate. However, I believe the advantage of FPDW is that the period of time between jackpots one donates less than most any other game. In other words, a person keep more of those jackpot hits. The converse can be said of, say, triple double bonus. Where between the jackpot hits, one gets absolutely killed...and from what I gathered, usually they give it back with interest.
At any rate, my biggest losses in fpdw are $600 in a total of two sessions out of hundreds of FPDW, a few $450 losses, and everything else is between a hundred to three give or take. My best session was a royal and a deuce and cashed out +1,100.
My advise in judging short term play and esp. results is usually not smart because who knows how the random number generator lands in the span of a few thousand spins. A better gauge is to go thru a few royal cycles, perhaps 5 or around 200,000 hands, and make some judgments. It's just too soon to say this "is the game for me for life"...although running like that, I certainly get it.
Long term, I'm definitely more positive on FPDW than any other game, despite losses as well. I thought my game was .25c 10/6 DDB with a slow progressive royal, until variance taught me otherwise. I say, to each their own. I know some players that won't touch a deuces wild game with a 10 foot pool. That's fine. I avoid triple double bonus like the plague. Everyone is different.

its going to take 11 months until my next vacation, but i do plan on playing five joker poke if the jackpot is high. i don't believe i played perfect strategy but i will say those 4 of a kind pays 25 instead of 20 really does boost your bankroll especially after 2hours or 6hours you see the extra 5credits, but take a game like 8/5 jacks oppose to 9/6 you may not see it right away but your bankroll will feel it.

i do understand video poker and gambling is not an atm machine and i did get lucky hitting that 3 card hold royal, but i think it does help to believe your playing a positive game and desire to win, my previous trip to ac my wife lost my royal flush money to triple double bonus and i got another royal flush the next day lucky or my will power or both you decide

lastly i think Florida Phil money management system works best all around, i just cant bring myself cashing out +7.50$ win on a 5hour round trip to ac in other words im greedy and did not travel that far to win 7$

VP is all rigged to the house that sets it up for you too lose more,trying to catch up your losses. It’s worse now and will not improve,even we like the game it makes us so irritating to see what is not going to come up . I don’t care how many three of kind r dealt. Goodbye vp.

Every few years I get on a run and VP starts acting like an ATM. I had one of those last spring. It normally doesn't take long for things to go the other way. I don't have access to full pay games, so I can't speak from experience if playing them is profitable. I can see how it helps your confidence level. I know when I play 8/5 Bonus Poker instead of 6/5 I feel better about my chances. In the short term anything can happen.

Good money management is a confidence builder as well. It helps your attitude to walk out a winner. If it keeps you from doing stupid things with your money, I think it has value. Mathematically, I don't think it matters when you leave or stay. For most people, VP is a "head" game as much as anything else. What a human player does affects the game more than any RNG cycle. This is the one thing that math can not predict.

I would like to add a comment to this post about playing full pay games. My casino does not offer these games in a denomination I feel comfortable in playing. However, I play 99.578% Triple Double Bonus on this website every day. Playing high volatility games is necessary as it often takes more than 5,000 points to win for the day. There are days when I can go well over 2,000 points without a quad. I have hit a royal and a 4,000 coin quad ace on the same day a few times. Overall, I have stayed ahead of this game long term. Starting with 10,000 coins, my point total moves between 25,000 and 12,000 points most of the time. If I was playing with real money, I would consider that a great result. I do not know if I could duplicate this in a real casino, but it's comforting the know it's possible.
