Re: Sometimes time can be your friend
So far, priming the pump seems to be working. I just got this on double down stud bonus deuces wild only a 97% game but the 99% games have been destroying me the last five trips so I figured I would take a shot with 100 bucks and see what happens
For those not familiar with this game because it is very hard to find nowadays the wild royal flush pays 80 for one. But after you see your first four cards and they are good ones you double your bet So it really pays 160 instead of 80

I don't follow that logic. You do get double the payout, but you've also doubled your bet. To me, it still looks like 80 for 1.olds442jetaway wrote: ↑Thu May 06, 2021 5:25 pmBut after you see your first four cards and they are good ones you double your bet So it really pays 160 instead of 80

Yep. Ultimate X players get fooled by this all of time. That 12x win was really only 6x because they bet 10 credits.onemoretry wrote: ↑Thu May 06, 2021 6:53 pmI don't follow that logic. Technically, it is still 80 for one. However, since after seeing the first 4 cards, I know I am already a winner and my risk for doubling my bet is 0. I know if I have say 5 coins bet and by adding 5 to it, I am going to win 800 not 400 if the Wild Royal hits.

Still haven’t learned my lesson. I got the above hit early on and switched back to the 99% games but they were ice cold. Ended up busting again breaking another record of consecutive losing sessions. I was ahead a very comfortable three or 400 bucks on that one hit if I had quit then it would’ve been like picking money up off of the sidewalk and putting it in my pocket. Easier said than done to teach an old dog new tricks.

I hadn't noticed that either. Kings or Better and Two Pair payouts on DWB? Does this paytable have a nickname?

Olds may have a nickname for it
Stud games don't really fit in with the more common draw poker. Stud paytables are more generous because of the difficulty. I believe the IGT version of Pick 'em (Pick a Pair) pays a pair of Aces or better in Deuces Wild.

Yeah, I never play double down stud. Tried it years ago here on the site. I forgot how different the payouts are.
