Resorts sends me $29 per night room offers via email but I have not been there yet. I get free rooms at CET properties plus other offers. Sounds like maybe I should give them a try though.

Try simply using CET for your "free" rooms while spending some time at Resorts. Don't blow your entire bankroll at Resorts, but start playing a minimum amount over your next several trips, and soon your 29 dollar a nite rate will be more like a comped offer for Sunday thru Thursday.

At the very least, you can enjoy a meal at Gallagher's while staying in a CET room

Resorts VP has gotten such a bad rap that I avoid it like the plague, even though I was at GBB weekly for lunch promos last year it seemed. Bad experience as a greenhorn playing forever to get my darn $20 back and it somehow stuck. Their restaurants and food court are impressive. The CW outfits are cool. I get plenty of exercise walking back to mid boardwalk, and it puts me in a good frame of mind for the entire day.

excellent, good for you FAAOne consistent element of my posting on this forum for the many years I've been here is I have always balanced my criticism of AC as a whole (hole) with positive, even glowing, posts about individual places like Resorts and the establishments INSIDE of Resorts.I encourage anyone else here reading this forum and this thread to check out Resorts-AC and specifically GALLAGHERS Burger Bar, and of course Galaghers Legendary Steak house (the place that actually created/invented the "NEW YORK STRIP" cut of steak!)

Point of reference: No where on Gallagher's web site do they make such a claim. Also; this particular cut of beef goes by several regional names including: Strip Steak, Kansas City Strip, and others.

I even read in Wikipedia: Delmonico's Restaurant, an operation opened in New York City in 1827, offered as one of its signature dishes a cut from the short loin called a Delmonico steak. Due to its association with the city, it is often referred to as a New York strip steak.

I recall reading that too CK but I didn't want to give people the impression that I was piling on.

If one goes to the Gallagher's in Resorts AC and reads their menus and restaurant literature they will see the claim that Gallagher's is the original source of the famous NY strip cut of meat.   Now clearly other potential sources exist so this is likely one of those controversies or legends that has multiple origins.

Go to this Wikipedia site for Gallagher's and you will see a reference To what I am talking about

Regardless of whatever Ted wants you to believe, Gallagher's is the greatest, the best, the tastiest, highest value steakhouse and restaurant in AC. I say so which means it is true beyond contestation....If you eat there and then refuse to agree towith me then something is wrong with you, sorry. I'm always right

Perish the thought Ted. I didn't think that at all.

Speaking of steak though, I prefer Morton's prime cuts of beef to be Gallagher's. While pricey, they don't let you leave hungry.
