Re: Max Coin Quarters vs. Single Coin 50 Cents
You said a single coin player couldn't win. I showed you how I did. I also told you I don't play that way any more. Soon you will be telling me to circle Ultimate X multipliers. Here's the problem. Winning at video poker is mostly luck. Your strategy of walking out a winner is a good one. I use it now and it works for me too. All the hype about 100% games, odds, perfect play and the rest is marketing. Playing computer perfect lets you play more hands with your money. Playing good games does the same. After all this is said and done, you still need luck on your side. I know this tweaks some people on this forum, especially those folks who sell strategy books. I could care less. What's important is that the player is happy with what they are doing. Making someone else on this forum happy isn't going to make my life any better.

I thought we were talking about quarter level players? Now you are back onto $5.00 denominations? Odd.....
No, Ted, clearly you don't get it - The secret is to only play single-coin quarters when you're being dealt losing hands, and then bump it up to $5 max bet right before you hit a big one. Phil's got it all figured out.

Here's a couple more. Each one was hit with an investment of one $20 bill. Again, no W2G. NOTE: When you play single coin you are giving up about 1% of your return. If you are in this game for the long term, never play single coin. If you are going to take a shot with four chances at a jackpot, anything can happen. It takes a lot of discipline to hit jackpots like this and not feed them back into the machine. Greed is your biggest enemy. DON'T DO IT!!

Feeding a jackpot back into any machine is idiocy of the highest order. Request a check and leave. Yeah, you miss subsequent jackpot opportunities. The casinos will be there next week for such contingencies.
You can wait for a lifetime to see all your jackpots if you want. I prefer to leave with mine.
This forum has been seeing those same pictures since Bush was President.
Glad you noticed. That's good. I won't have to post them again when you say playing single coin doesn't pay.

One person cannot possibly be this dense, can they? Is it possible? I guess it is.
Yet another piece of evidence that Phil has literally 0 reading comprehension abilities. No one has ever said that you can't hit a big hand playing single coin. And here comes Phil showing pictures of hitting big hands playing single coin. Unreal.

I agree it probably makes you feel good at the time, but unless you're quitting forever, it's a meaningless gesture.

Actually in Phil's defense, I mentioned that a single coin player could not walk out of a casino uyp $500.00 an hour after getting there like I did last weekend. I was totally thinking single coin in terms of .25 denomination (because Phil has recently stated that he is a STRICT .25 denomination player) and I gave no thought to Phil and his forays into $5.00 denomination "potshotville."
To my dismay I should have further remembered that Phil would blow the dust of the pictures that Matthew Brady took for him in the casino of some pot shot hits. My bad.
