Given today’s results, a transition to quarter is on the table. I chased down the next tier level at the cost of a bloodbath. VP jackpots on tougher games hit all around.
Wind Creek Casino in Illinois is just 20 minutes from my home, it is a very nice place. I went on Thanksgiving to take advantage of some nice free play offers and left up, 1.5k.

I went again on December 14, 2025 to knock out the free play and upon realization that the free play was not available to video poker players, I walked out and didn't play. On Tuesday December 16, 2025, I received a mailer from them inviting me to a Gala New Years Eve Bash. It said the last day to R.S.V.P. was Monday December 15, 2025. I immediately called them to see if I could get in and I was told they were no longer taking R.S.V.P.'s. I explained that I received the mailer on December 16, 2025 and they said "too bad, blame the post office." I then sent them an email about the interaction when I tried to R.S.V.P. for the event, never got a response.

I will not be going back to Wind Creek Casino in Illinois.

These casinos are just getting too big and arrogant for their britches!! I must say though that besides removing good pay tables here and there, Mohegan Sun has still been meeting my expectations. In fact, I just got off the phone with them. I had a heater giveaway reserved for tomorrow. I missed the deadline to cancel. With the black ice and snow, I just don’t want to chance the drive. We shoveled and scraped most of today. I called a few minutes ago and explained the situation. They allowed me to cancel without a penalty.
I had a situation very similar situation to what Ted describes at Foxwoods 5 years ago. Even going up the ladder, I got nowhere. As a result, I haven’t been there in 5 years costing them about a million a year in coin in. At least 20 k a year would have lined their pockets.
Sorry to semi hijack this thread. We all can reward the good casinos and punish the bad ones if we put our minds to it.
