"Probably" was inserted into the sentence in an attempt to make the poster who wasted their $2K feel a bit better. But you are indeed correct ---- there would have been no "probably" in my decision not to blow $2,000 on a sure-fire losing proposition. I commend you for the good catch there.

Thank you for trying to soften the blow.

I'm surprised I wasn't offered a player's card lanyard as a consolation prize....

In case anyone is interested, the hotel on the property opens this Friday, 4/11. 3 months later than previously expected and for almost $400.00 a night, I hope the standard rooms are pretty nice. Unless comped, I won't be making any room reservations...

Update - when I checked my mailbox this evening, there was a mailer from Wind Creek for 2 comped rooms in their new hotel. Subject to availability and, Sunday thru Thursday only. Meh...

I'm not enjoying my Resorts Sun-Th offer either. Yesterday they attempted to enhance their standing offer with an email enticement. Only $109 Friday and $229 Saturday. Thanks for thinking of (further fleecing) me. DOA.

I never get Friday or Saturday Comp room offers. Even with over 2m coin in a year.

My two cents on Wind Creek....

The place is beautiful - with the high ceilings and glittering lights I felt like I was in Vegas. As Ted said, apart from a few bars and high limit, all the VP is in the far corner. They offered a decent selection: Game King, Hot Roll, Big city, AllStars, Bonus Streak, etc. I was disappointed there was no 5Star machines. Paytables were typical for the area and the best I saw was 9/6 DDB for dollars.

I started with quarter TTB and quickly lost about $600 on single line and triple play. Quadless. I then switched to dollars and continued to get wrecked and was $3000 in the hole, still quadless. Mercifully, I hit a smalls with kicker for $2000 and recouped a good part of my money.

The initial attendant visit took quite a long time and when she finally brought my papers pack, they had my old address. It them took quite a while longer to get them corrected. The attendant brought me 2 players cards (I was playing without) - which I promptly threw in the trash. I guess I was somehow in their system, perhaps from play 15 years ago at Coconut Creek in Florida.

I kinda doubt I will return because I'd rather not have to deal with paying taxes in multiple states (going forward that is, too late for this year).

I did not smell any weed.

Well, at least you recouped some of your losses Triple P. I also read that Wind Creek - Southland, was recently granted 24/7 operation, they were on a probationary operating hours system until recently getting approved for the extended hours of operation.

Hopefully, my original comment of the weed smell was attributed to that being their initial first weekend of operation and maybe they amped up their air ventilation/recirculation system.

I just may, MAY, get a room just to check it out. If I do, I'll report back on the available tv channels, the size of the in-room fridge, and the quality of the bedding.

Maybe if I get a room facing northwest on an upper floor, I may be able to see my house.

Better luck to you, Triple P.
