Not as long as we are still kickin. In fact I quite enjoyed Little Black dress nite at Mohegan Sun. I posted quite awhile ago about a group of them that came up to me when the bars closed and asked me to teach them all about video poker. I can’t imagine my error rate for the next half hour or so after I ordered strong cappuccino for all of them.

I believe it was somewhere around that date. I was a huge ugly beetle of a car. The only good thing about it was the seats would drop down making a bed. Great Drive-in car....

I have the Panera $9 monthly unlimited coffee subscription. I’m so woke it’s no joke. The closest store is still miles away. Naturally I keep a refill for the next morning; no taste difference. Great minds think alike.

Got up early today and went to the grocery store with my wife at 7:00 AM. The store is open for seniors between 7 and 8 AM. Good thing I did. The store had no shopping carts, they were all in use. When we got inside there was still some items on the shelf. Thank God the wine isle was well stocked. We had to check out twice as we couldn't carry everything in one trip. Our total? $275, a new record for the grocery store.

I got to thinking if the store is doing better or worse? Products are flying off the shelves until there are no more. You can't sell stuff you don't have. Thankfully, the truckers and warehouse people are still coming to work.

Everyone is doing the best they can. I didn't see any arguments and people are being courteous.

Long enough I hope. The $250 bill wasn't all wine.

Back when I was in high school I bagged groceries at a local food store for $1.10 an hour plus tips. A big grocery order back then was anything over $20. Sometimes that was two carts worth. Since the price of everything now has a zero on it, $250 is about right. If we sold liquor back then, my father in law would have run up some record sales.

Stocking, clocking and rocking. Supermarkets typically have razor thin margins. Good to see them amass some profits while the getting oils good.

FP i don't think FL. had a min. wage back then. I was only getting .80c in 1955. Only got to $1.10 when i made checker. Oh, i see, your father-in-laws store.

1.25 an hour at McDonalds in 1964. 1.40 on an entry level construction job same year. That’s a whole other story in itself. 2 good jobs in 1968 and 1969. 2.35 an hour at Schick Razor running machines and same on the assembly line at Dyna truck which made truck bodies for International Harvester. Finally, my all timy favorite job..... the local auto wrecking yard. 3.00 an hour for the 6 months I worked there in 1970. I didn’t go back to age 8 in 1956....5 cents a basket for picking strawberries.
