Yep, EABOD. And anyone who has a problem wearing a mask in public can go EABOD too. In fact they should have no problem without a mask on... For the record, I am in full support of wearing a mask as soon as I set foot outside my home. My VP.com mask has got some great use so far!

Look up "San Diego Karen" and see this scene in reverse where the young man politely told the woman that he can't serve her without her mask on, company policy, and the woman went all "Karen" on him. Even gets better with her wanting 1/2 of the gofundme page set up for him.

Bottom line: wear your mask!

It's another way of telling someone off. You'll need to Google it as with it fully spelled out might not fly with the rules here and possibly even offend some in this well respected community

It's one thing to catch someone NOT in compliance and tell them to put their mask on. . . .

I agree with this.

There's no reason why casino employees can't be cordial in reminding folks to comply. It's also logical that the employees shouldn't be lurking behind pillars, waiting for you to err.

However, I still prefer the casino does SOMETHING, even if done rudely, than do nothing at all.
I confirmed that businesses can be fined by OSHA up to $135,000 for being non-compliant. IMO, places like the M Casino should be snapping to attention by that number alone . . . but they don't care.

Another example this week of the crazy political stances by non-mask wearers: an older woman at my local Vegas Costco having a toddler temper tantrum ON THE FLOOR, refusing to leave Costco when asked to put on a mask. The video of this is funny . . . she has a mask hanging off one ear, but instead chose to assert her "rights" (in a private business--Costco).

Another update:

(1) Vegas was leading the way to be chosen as a NHL playoffs hub city, with teams taking over the Park MGM hotel adjacent to T Mobile Arena . . . until our virus cases spiked last week. Vegas out.

(2) Because of the massive failure of bars to comply with the social distancing and mask mandate (less than 50% compliance rate, according to inspectors), bars are the Governor's target now.
As of midnight tonight (Friday, July 10), all bars are ordered to shut down AGAIN. This includes all casino bars.

It's about time businesses and guests start taking these mandates seriously.

I was at M early this morning. Zero drink servers on the floor, don't know why, as I believe cocktail service is excluded from the shutdown. But, M still doesn't "get it." Filthy machines, no cleaning crew unless you press the service button on a machine. Every machine on. People not wearing masks

I knew Tropicana employees (Penn property) got WARN notices, but I didn't know so did some M workers.

Today, we passed by M (Volunteer Blvd entrance), and parking lot was strangely empty for a Saturday afternoon. Maybe guests were parked in garage due to 111 degrees outside.

booze and gambling just don't go together, at least not when there is a chinese virus. the more booze, the less folks follow mandates, especially young people. vegas has no one to blame but themselves.

friend of mine goes to the niagara falls casino, which typically is flowing with free drinks. not now, no booze. the casino i visit has a large center bar, but no more hanging around the bar (which one has to pay for). as no one can concregate around bar, the machines at the bar are available to play (with 6-8' of separation).

this is the time for casinos and many other businesses to try and just survive. not to try and get back to old normal. normal will come after vaccine, cure or herd immunity.

I've said since June 4th that M appears almost defiant in its reopening protocol. Like, "we dare you to come here." It's almost as if Penn needs an excuse to shut down M.

In the nicest possible way, I reiterate: No one cares about YOU (meaning, all of us, the collective "you".)
If anyone chooses to visit a Vegas casino, bring your own sanitizer, wipes, gloves and mask.

Meanwhile, wait and see if Allegiant stadium (Sissylack's pet project) opens on time for NFL games. . .
