well said .. i enjoy this site to see the new machines and play for free.. i really dont care if i win in the contest or not.. it just playing when i cant be in vegas or one of the casinos in the are.. if i was at the casinos i'd be broke..  
 
i have turned off the chat room so i dont have to be bothered with the grips and chatter ..
 
and my high game in 19000+ so far...

Minimize your screen to fit the size of the game....It eliminates the chat and the bogus ads....

I have been a member of this website since before they revamped it with paying and non paying members. I very much appreciate all this site has to offer.  I get all I need without being gold.   I would like to see the contest run just as they are now,  no preferential treatment to those who chose to pay for more benefits.

I became a Gold Member to support what I feel is the best VP site.  I did not join for the chat or the lack of advertisements...those are benefits to me.  I did it to assist with maintaining expensive servers; ability to obtain latest software and paying salaries for folks like Webman.  If they are making a profit, even better.
 
I think the whole discussion between 'Gold' or 'Non-Gold'; 'Haves' or 'Have nots' is ridiculous.  If any of you were a little thicker skinned you may just realize that the jabs are in the spirit of competition.  I have not met a mean spirited member on the chat board...lighten up and enjoy yourself.  Try to see the humor on the chat board.  My hat is off to whom ever wins.

I agree with Knot 100%.  What I think alot of the nonpaying members don't realize is that as paying members, we can chat with each other everyday during game play.  We get to know each other well and everyone is friendly.  When in contests, we root for each other and like to see other gold members on the board because we know each other.  It's that simple.  Anything said is mean't to be taken in jest.Maybe each of you should take advantage of the trial membership offer and come on and get to know us.  Gold membership offers much more than chat as you will see.  I love supporting the site because it offers me something I enjoy doing at a very reasonable price.

This has been a fun contest. Having read quite a few comments posted about Gold vs non-gold members I'd like to put in a plea for us Mac users. We would like to be able to chat with other gold members. Any chance of this in the near future?
