You would need to talk to accountant for correct answer. But, I do believe that SS income is taxed, if other income is high enough.

believe that SS income is taxed, if other income is high enough.[/quote]You do pay income tax on social security income if your combined income is high enough.  However, you do not pay FICA.  Social Security benefits are not an "entitlement", they were earned by paying into a tax system over a lifetime.  The problem is Congress hijacked the tax payers investment income and replaced it with an IOU that has now come due.  If you're a young person paying taxes, you may want to think about that.  My wife and I are both almost 70 years old and paying more tax now than we ever did.  No one wants to pay taxes, but if you're fortunate enough to win a big jackpot it's ridiculous to be upset because you may have to.

Played an Ultimate X machine last week playing 5 handed quarters. Had Aces with kicker dealt with an 8X on every hand for $20,000!
