Henderson

Post by jokergal »

Just got back from a week in LV/Henderson. Fabulous weather. Sunset Station is wonderful. Comfortable playing area, not smoky. Good returns. Good buffet too. Anyone else there recently? Had good luck?  I play VP, mostly quarters. DDB is my game. Anyone?

Henderson and Laughlin are even better than Vegas! The Stations are the best in Vegas! Caring ownership that wants the players to come back again and again.

I agree, Rascal! Love Henderson. Close enough to LV too. What's your favorite place in Laughlin?

Believe it or not I have won more at Holiday Inn Express than anywhere else in Laughlin.

Henderson is the home of Green Valley Ranch, another of the Station Casinos, which you will see mentioned in other forums.  We're regulars at that resort.   Henderson is the best.  Lots of play for your money.  I also play DDB the most, either single line or triple play, quarters or $1 depending on my bankroll.  The station casinos are wonderful...They have a philosophy which is they would rather pay out 10 thousand dollar wins than one $10,000 win which makes for more small jackpots.  Although I think a $1000 jackpot is rather nice.  I've hit over 40 Royals in the past 15 years and most were at Station Casinos....Considering I only go there about 4 times a year from Missouri that's not bad...

With video poker how can they control the number and size of jackpots since they all have rng's and paytables that control the % of hold for the casino.

My daughter lives down the highway from the Green Valley Ranch, so we have gotten pretty used to playing there.  That of course led to comped rooms at the new Red Rock Casino not that far away.  Another cozy casino in Henderson is Barley's, not far from the Green Valley.  Casinos are so much better off the strip.  The locals know how to do it !!!!
