The week that was

Post by wildman49 »

Last Saturday my wife talked me into going after I got out of work. She been playing the same machine for a few hours when JOB went cold. She changed games, said she only played a few hands when she hit her first Royal of 2019! Last Royal was OCT. 2018 for her. I went in the red for 200 bucks.

Yesterday (Friday) was my turn. Pounding out points to keep my free pay at a high level, I hit Royal number 8 on the year! Was down 200 bucks, then lost 500 of the royal for a net day of $300. I would have hit the door with the $800 up but needed to hit a points total whatever the cost. I really can't remember giving that much of the royal back the same day. That's VP for ya.

Good Luck Cashing the royal!

Congrats on the royals to you and the Mrs., wildman. I won't preach to you the evils of playing to increase freeplay, I'll save that for the experts here.

Nice! If I could play quarter 9/6 Jacks, I would. If the best I have is 7/5, I don't. Nothing evil about that.

Please. If you could play 96, you would still bail out, succumbing to boredom! Even I tuned out. Half my play is now BP.

Soaring Eagle casino has 40/10/6 DDB (99.96%) for those that think JoB is boring. And it's even at the quarter level for those wishing to avoid w2-g's.

Haven't been there in a few months but the last time I checked so does Fort McDowell in AZ.

Congratulations! I'm planning on a trip up there from Indy, which is quite a hike. Are there decent .25/.50 vp paytables in the non smoking area?

Jane, hope you have a safe trip to and from Indy. The only 99% plus game is 9/6 JOB in the non smoking room at Soaring Eagle, Mt. Pleasant MI. There is many 99% plus games but only in smoking areas. The best is to play early and on non promo days. Less smoke and less people. Wen. and Fri are 2 good days to play.
