PKM paytable

Post by parnellllll »

Could someone please help me with this paytable Pick Em is hard to plug into Wizard (confusing which game) and i believe only one PKM is listed as playable on all of VPfree. This is just straight up PKM, not DDB.

Does the royal pay 10,000 and straight flush 1,000 credits respectively for a 5 coin bet? If so, the return with optimal play is 96.5746%.

PKM seems to be just like slot machine. Not too much strategy needed. So is DDS.

All rare hands happen so rarely. It’s hard to hit anything big.

Pick'Em is much more complicated than a slot machine --- and different pay schedules require different strategies. I think WinPoker gives you the ability to analyze all 9s or better pay schedules.

Pick'Em gives you a restricted choice each time between two separate 3-card combinations --- where two of the three cards are the same in both choices. The interesting hands involve straight flush draws of various persuasions, royal draws, pairs - either high or low, straights - with various numbers of high cards and gaps, and flushes - with various numbers of high cards.

There are several dozen ways you can have two different "interesting choices" in the same hand. Seat of the pants players will make numerous mistakes if they think the game is simple and do not study beforehand.

It IS easier than most other games. It IS relatively boring because of the repetition of the decisions.

Just to be 100% clear, is this what your complete pay table looks like?

I still don’t know why people still play such boring and bad game. Royal Flush happens 1 in 350K hands. SF happens every 40K hands. Most people won’t see royal in life time on this game.

You should take RF out of the pay schedule when you calculate the return because it nearly doesn’t happen.
