Another A,10 hold royal
Question is, was it the correct hold at this point? Not mine BTW.

I feel like it's the correct hold just because of how high the jackpot is for the royal. MIght as well go for it at that point!

Well, you don't really know if it was the max-EV hold without knowing what was discarded. Certainly the jackpot's size suggests that the A-10 suited might have been the "correct" hold. But there are some borderline plays. For example, holding something like A-Q offsuit might have been preferred instead if one of the two remaining cards was suited with the A-10. There are lots of other examples that would form higher-valued holds; but there are also lots of examples where A-10 has the highest value.
It was fortunate that this suit payed more than the other royals would have. Nice pic!
It would be interesting to know how quickly those meters rise on the 4 royals.

The break even point of Royal is about $6000 - $6500. But you have to hold suited A and 10 for the suit royal which is more than the threshold, it complicates the strategy a bit.
And, I believe holding 3-to-royal is better than holding a high pair for this scenario as well.

Holy crap. I finally see a mathematically correct hold of AT suited (or AX suited in Deuces) that filled in. I've probably have seen 10 incorrect ones before this. Even if he couldn't write off a 24% tax bracket, it still would be correct.

As much as I played NSUD when it was here, I never got dealt the one hand where A,10 suited is the correct play. (A,10s, 9,7,5o)

Holding AT suited is common in Joker, some versions of Bonus Deuce and non-wild card games with royal being progressive if meters are high enough.

Congratulations. This was on JOB, as lower left indicates. I know the amount makes TA the hold.
