FIRST COUNCIL- NEW OKLAHoMA CASINO
Does anyone know when the new casino on the Ok. Ks. border will open? I think it is called First Council.

It should be open very soon. I asked back in December and they said the first of January, but you know how those completion dates go. It could still be a couple of weeks or months even! My wife went down there Sunday and didn't mention it being open and believe, if it was open, she'd have been there!

UPDATE MARCH projected date I was "down there" this morning. The "gas station or Little Bit of Paradise" ran by the 7-Clans is also the tribe opening the First Council casino on the property just to the south of the gas station.I inquired inside the Station and they said that it would probably be in March when they opened the doors. They have machines on the floor now but are still working on the parking lot. Man, that sign they have lights up the night sky with sky-glow that can be seen from MILES away! I took a picture of the sigh with my cell phone's camera and I think it might have burned a hole in the memory chip!

I know what you mean. I am sure that thing can be seen from the moon. I live south of Wichita and I think I can see a glow from my backyard.

OPENS FRIDAY FEB 29 IT IS NOT A LINK TO AN ON-LINE CASINO.Click here to visit First Council's WebsiteRather that typing in all the information I'm just posting a link. This is brick and mortar. It does sound like they've got a pretty good promotional going on in March for the ladies on Thursday nights with $20 match plays up to $400 a night in March!

Ain't that just typical! Ladies, especially younger with the disposable income(perhaps someone else's) receive match play up up to $400. Fellas, come in and receive match play to $50 or something equivalent. Who said them promotions people ain't biased!

They can't lose by getting the ladies out in force. Usually, they bring along their men! But then, I nearly always stay home and babysit so my Wife and Daughter can take advantage of these promotions. Even if I go, they don't get much out of me. I don't play their blackjack because of the ante and play very little VP because of the pay tables. However, this is one of the casinos that does have 9/6 DDB in their other two locations so I am hopeful they'll have it in this new one.

I'd say "Someone" got in "big twouble" at First Council. The made a HUGE change in that Ladies Promotion on Thursday nights. So, instead of $20 match play with a $400 limit, it is not the first 400 women get a $20 match play. It had to have been a monster blunder in the original wording on the website....but it sounded real good <LOL>Thursday Is Ladies' Night!- Ladies receive $20 casino cash play for every $20 played, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. (400 person limit). Guest must play out the $20 credit before cashing out.-
"Roses Are Red, Prizes Are Green" Hot Seats! Random hot seat prizes for
ladies everyhour. One chosen lucky lady will receive a rose with a
prize attached containing cash and prizes of $100, $200, $300 or $500!

Now thats a horse of a different color. This totally balances the scales compared to $20 match up to $400.

Wow! My daughter was unable to go with my Wife to the Grand Opening last night so I went with her. First off, there is nothing much for VP players in the new casino. They do have bartops, but I couldn't get within 20 feet of the bar! Hell, I couldn't get much more than 20 feet inside the door! That place was jammed! They had two lines of traffic trying to get into the parking lot and once there, there was no where to park! I heard that someone alerted the Fire Marshals and they were supposedly there. Like I said, I didn't get close enough to the VP machines to read the pay tables. It's mostly geared to the slot crowd. There is a live poker room, restaurant, maybe 6 or 8 Blackjack tables ($5 min with $.50 to $1 antes) and the door leading back outside to the parking lot!We left and took Hobson's Choice at KAW on down in Newkirk. I got on the whopping 8/5 DDB nickel single line Game King machines. There are only two in the bank of 8...the other 6 are 7/5. Anyway, on the first $5, I hit 800-credit Aces, 400-credit Deuces and a couple of 250-credit quads. After playing an hour or so, I broke off +$65 and grabbed something to eat back at the grease-pit. When I came back, people were lined up to play those VP machines. I finally got one and gave back $60 of t $65 I'd won. I was tickled pink to walk out of there UP $5!
