Ten Play Machines
Has anyone played @ Motorcity Casino? I have Been to the other 2 Detroit Casinos and Windsor but have not tried Motorcity? Also, is it's logical to assume that Multi strike machines would give you an edge on hitting winning combos simply because your playing many more hands? It has seemed that way to me.

Multi-strike machines usually have a slight improvement in payback for the same paytable as standard VP machines. Of course, this also requires adjusting your strategy for each line. Since you can find standard VP in multi-plays of 3,5,10 and up versions I don't think the argument about more hands has any weight. It's primarily about paytables and strategies ...

I understand the odds and independent trials stuff(sorta). But if it takes a thousand hands to hit 4 aces (just an example) Won't I get there faster playing ten alternate draws on each hand?

It seems to me mathematical law of averages. whether you play single line or multi hand, I don't believe theres actually a counter somewhere inside the mother board for jackpot purposes. I would think your odds of hitting slightly increase when playing multi hand however. I'm sure there may be wizard-of-odds data that may say otherwise though.

Faster from a time perspective ... sure. However, you will incur more losses to offset the addition wins. It all works out the same as far as the money goes. You can expect the same percentage of jackpots... and ... losers.
That said, I like multi-play (I'm not as big on multi-strike) for a number of reasons. It reduces the time spent for me to reach a specific amount of play that may be rewarded optimally. Keep in mind that it does have an impact on variance. At the same denomination per line the variance is higher for multi-play and significantly higher for multi-strike than it is for single line.

RE Motorcity, Oh yeah! It's become my home away from home of late because I have had considerable luck with both DW and DDB in .25 - $1. play. Either four deuces or four aces and KICKER, play. Sooner or later the RF will hit. A creature of habit, I keep going back to my lucky machines instead of exploring new ground. It's okay, I will get around to others eventually. Yesterday, older gal next to me was playing JOB and hit four aces w kicker TWICE in a few hands. Her machine paid only $125 for both of those. Had she been playing DDB she would have had $2000. for both, like I did last week. She did try DDB for awhile but soon went back to JOB as I approved her plays at her encouragement. Usually I avoid that sort of thing but she was a sweetheart. Motor City has been mailing free play, gifts and breakfast buffet. Then I swing by MGM and Greektown to pick up free play and lunch and head for home before rush hour traffic. Dropped off requests for win loss statements. I know for a fact I can quit anytime I want! How about you? Of course, I use an alias, as some have wondered! I needed a name to sign up and a Meijer's bag was staring at me - Please don't say bag lady! Today was fun volunteering to work the annual North American International Auto. Show (NAIAS). Last year 80,000 went through on this opening day! Ciao!

Is it just me, or does it seem that there are a LOT of Mustangs this year, especially Shelbys, for sale and bring in the big bucks that the Mopar offerings have dominated in the last couple of year? And, that little green Cobra just about did me in! What a bargain at $625K. What about that "Super Snake" of Carol Shelby's that went for $5,000,000 last year!

Hey Mike, do you read or subscribe to the Las Vegas Advisor? There is a bulletin board there (that i haven't noticed til today) that has a few postings from that Fa La La La La.... La la la la guy, some rather scathing. Sounds like he takes things personal. I don't know him or care to after reading his posts.

It has a complete transcription of the dialog Fa La La La La.... La la la la entered into with Shadow man about 6 months or so ago. But, "Yes", I am a member of LVA. I have not been keeping track of anything "over there" in quite a while. My wife scours it pretty much every day for tidbits on what's going on currently in Vegas. Everything from Hotel room reviews to opinions on where the best places to play are.
