Harrahs rewards and comps under new owner
Harrahs casinos used to be a good place to play and build up comps and status that could be used at any of their joints. Since being bought by Eldorado Resorts and going through the covid changes that is not the case anymore. They quit comping meals because of lowered occupancy in the eateries. There is little to no advantage to being a high Diamond now. You can travel and get free rooms at other Harrahs casinos that don't comp too. Maybe I am just burned out on them. They owned a casino in Cape G, Mo and ran it into the ground and I see this happening again. They have covid as an excuse to screw the players. Just my opinion, been at it for a lot of years and don't see anything improving.

Casinos have been in survival mode for the past year-plus. It looks like things are returning to normal so I'd give them a few months to get their customer service up and running at 100%.

Exactly what I told my "host". I am disappointed in amount of free play and lack of room upgrades, both of which I was told either are not guaranteed (suites) or under their control (free play). Became eligible for free Laurel Lounge just in time for reduced hours and limited choices.
Priority lines are a joke. I checked in the "steerage" class line last time because the diamond line was longer. At Total Rewards center only 7* get priority.
It was not my goal to be Diamond Elite- just occurred through promotions and more trips- but I gotta say it's underwhelming. I realize free play is more an ADT thing, but I qualify there as well. The worst part is reduced play will definitely be noticed and I'll be punished accordingly!
I highly doubt I will join the migration to Borgata but I do visit all the marina casinos on occasion.

TTT, do you play in the Cove? I always get wiped out there, despite seeing a healthy amount of big winners. I'm on the fence. Just about ready for the Borgata migration, though.

We gave up on CET shortly after Harrah's went private, then public as CET in the 2008-1010 timeframe. Comps went way down, customer service stunk and we were treated better at local casinos. We played for years at Harrah's AK Chin, often on a weekly basis, and got a Motel 6 type room as a comp at Paris in Vegas and awful rooms in Laughlin the last two trips we made there. Meanwhile, an afternoon at Red Rock playing quarter, single line, VP resulted in both of us being comped a 500 square foot suite.
