The trainers here don't seem to take into account the multiplier in the next spin - they only look at the best return on the hand. It seems to me that given the increased multiplier for the next spin that strategy should change. Thoughts?

If you are referring to Pro Training, it absolutely accounts for the earned multipliers. This is one of the most critical points in the strategy for this game and can be seen in the chart if you expand the EV Details for the holds.
