Unbelievable Streak
I have been playing Video Poker for a little over a year, learning many lessons along the way.
For most of this time, I have always played 25-Cent Machines, as well as the occasional 1-Dollar machines when I was trying to GET EVEN.
On a fluke, I hit a $4,0000 Jackpot on 1/1/08, playing a Slot Machine, which I NEVER play.
With this new Bankroll, I decided to try playing some of the Video Poker Machines located in our Casino's "High Limit" Room, where they offer $5, $10, and $25 Credit Machines.
Between 1/12/08 and 1/12/24 I hit four (4) Royal Flushes.
Three (3) on the $5.00 Machines, paying $20,000 each, and one (1) on the $25.00 Machine, which paid me $100,000.00.
As of this moment, I still have $133,000.00 of the $160,000.00 won.
Wish I knew if the streak was over.
Guess I will find out soon.

Hoochie mama!!
4 royals?! On high denomination machines?! What luck...
We all dream of such streaks. I agree with oej. Take that money, stick it somewhere safe, and move on. Don't get careless and ruin the dream by wasting it. Get back to your quarter play, that much richer, and dream of such things again.

If I had $133,000 in my pocket right now, I'd seriously consider getting out of the computer programming business and take a part time job dealing blackjack!

Congrats Chip Monster! That's the best run of winnings I've ever heard of. I hit 4 in a month Dec 2007 but 1 was at .25 and 3 were at .50...a fraction of the cash you've won. That is fantastic for you! I like to see people hit the big ones, even if it's not me it's still fun to watch.
Good point Eduardo, going back to lower denominations will last you a long time even on real lousy gaming sessions. I personally prefer .50 denominations when bumping up since the only way you'll have to pay taxes is hitting a RF (with the exception of the few that pay 4000 for 4 A's).
Said so often and still as smart as anything "Gamble with your head, not over it"
If so inclined, try some tables too. Much better odds on BJ and Craps, but I know a lot of people jsut don't like them. I guess partly because it's more like a marathon where you won't have that 1 "big hit" unless you put about $50 on 12 and then it's rolled - $1500 win and no tax forms

Congrats on your winnings. I have to agree it would be a great time to go low again and enjoy your winnings for a long, long time that way.
