Is anyone else discouraged about holiday patronage? It’s crowded, noisy and stressful. Losses sting even more and we go home miserable.

A number of years ago, my late wife and I were invited to a New Year's Eve party at Red Rock. The only stress was driving to Vegas as there was a once in a decade snowstorm. Normal 5 hour drive took 12+ hours. Once we got there, had a great time. Other holiday treks to local casinos were equally enjoyable. No idea why you would find them discouraging. My advice, don't go if they make you miserable.

I’m comped 7 days a week at Borgata, only go on Wednesdays cause it’s the only day they aren’t giving something away. No lines, room always available, all machines empty, Amphora empty. Most important, minimal smoke.

Yeah, my disillusionment is much too severe. I could look at it from the opposite perspective, the more the merrier. I love the minimalist Wednesday strategy, but currently not an option. I am itching for a B Bar session for old times sake, even with the reduced pay tables. Also looking to conquer Resorts VP. I fought them to a draw last week.

New years parties and Super Bowl parties OK I leave for the room early any way.

Special Bonus days can be a crowded mess but again I leave early.

Friday Saturday nights never! The animals come out, most not even players, just drunks.
I play mostly a bank of new bar machines and can seldom find a machine.

Not complaining, after all, that's what bars are for. No problems on the days I am there.
