Heading over from Australia soon for 2 weeks. I will only be playing VP mostly 25c, enjoy playing at the bar tops and staying downtown. Will take some day trips to other properties.
Considering staying at The California or Plaza. Are there better options if I want to concentrate my play where I stay?
My last trip before covid I ended up with my stay comped which I was happy with, but it looks like a lot has changed with VP since then.
2 week stay. Where to play?

The Plaza has some of the better pay tables for VP downtown. Cal is much quieter and an older crowd mainly Hawaiian. VP is ok there and they do have a bank of full pay double bonus 10-7 or at least they did recently. Overall the Plaza is a bit livelier and good VP. 4 Queens used to have full pay at their bar but I think that has now been downgraded.
I am in Vegas now but not downtown or I would give you a better update.

However, they do still have some full pay machines in the rest of the casino. There are four full pay (10/7) double bonus machines at $1 denomination, and five at 25c denomination. And, there are several (fifteen or so) full pay (9/6) JOB machines at 25c and 50c denomination.

I would head over to Red Rock Resort. It has been my "go-to" casino for great VP for years now. Play toward the movie theatres! Several very well-paying machines around there for quarters, half-dollars and dollars. Lots of luck there should you venture over there!

I also suggest Red Rock Casino. I've had some great trips there. Good luck to you!
