My opinion- no. There are plenty of forum topics for anyone to post to earn the achievement. As a member in good standing, you should be able to add one morsel of information, experience or opinion to stimulate some chat. Anyone who states they are "just posting for the achievement!" should not get one.
Maybe the achievement should only be awarded if you initiate a topic. Otherwise you are just playing for comps...
