TripleTriple plays Triple Triple Bonus Poker
Went to Reno last week and decided to play just outside town at the Bonanza. My intent was to find and play 10/6 DDB, listed on vpfree2 as "throughout casino". However, after checking nearly every machine, I couldn't locate any of such paytable.
So I farted around for awhile and stumbled upon a few 9/5 TTB. Not a good game but I gave it a go. On the second hundred, I was dealt 3 fours and drew this:
A top payout for what is normally half that. It brought me out of the hole so it was a welcome hit. May e someday at dollar if I find 9/6 paytable.

Oh yes, a new blog thread! Looking forward to your adventures.
I visited Bonanza on a trip much earlier this year. That looks like a new machine you were playing. I think they must have replaced many of the good-game machines. On my visit I did find a few 10/6 DDB games for dollars according to my notes. They would have been north of center toward the east, in the area between the two bars, near the non-smoking room. IIRC, they had special labeling indicating Optimum Play or 99%, or something similar.
The slot club/promotions didn't excite me. Top tier receives a 5x everyday multiplier, but it's a huge amount of coin-in required apparently.

Congrats!!! Nice hit on a very tough game. I seem to get hands like that only when I play JOB.
. In fact on my JOB session last nite where I did connect with a Royal, the machine gave me quad Aces 3 times and two of them were with kickers.
Again Nice Hit!!

Great result on what looks to me to be a horrendous game. Return of 98.6%, with a variance of 139.5! I doubt you'll ever see me playing it, but congrats for giving it a try (successfully).

Thanks guys. It was a new machine. I found same game on older machine but for some reason decided to sit where I did.
I didn't practice or look up strategy but at 3 for a straight it was pretty clear what to hold or not. And I believe you hold a pair of 2, 3 or 4s with an Ace.
Had my fun, I'll stick with TDB

3 of a kind with an Ace kicker perhaps, but I can't imagine you should ever hold a pair/kicker.TripleTriple wrote: ↑Thu Aug 10, 2023 6:05 pmAnd I believe you hold a pair of 2, 3 or 4s with an Ace.
