Encore - Boston
So I was in Boston for work Wednesday and Thursday of this week. I decided to take a drive over to Encore in Boston and see what the hubub was all about. The place is big and nice. When I walked around, looking for the video poker action I couldn't find where the machines were located so I asked a slot attendant if they could point me in the right direction.
The slot attendant told me that all of the video poker machines were down because they were being relocated to a different area of the casino and that the only video poker machines were at a couple of the bars. I gritted my teeth and walked over a bar and found an All Star II machine that had 10 play TDB on it. The bill validator wasn't working so I tried the machine next to it. After seeding the machine I found out that most of the buttons were broken and only worked via touch screen. I decided to give that machine a whirl.
Bottom line was a -$1,500.00 visit to Encore Boston. I should have taken the hint when I was told that all of the video poker machines were down that it wasn't going to be my night.
Oh well, life goes on.

That’s for sure Ted. I was actually born in Boston and lived there till age 5. My dad and I would walk or take the streetcar to Fenway few times. I got to see Ted Williams hit one out of the park.

I readily assumed an encore of jackpots. The Splendud Splinters on backside from Encore’s paddle. Boston Beatdown supreme. It’s more like half the Bruins knocked you into the boards while pickpocketing you.

That’s supposed to be a flex? Congrats on that at least. Mic not the only thing you dropped!

Ted, if you happen to go up that way again, Mohegan Sun is just under a 2 hour drive. I could probably arrange a mid week comp room should you be able to make it. You probably know already, traffic in and around Boston can be dicey sometimes. We do have lots of DDB and TDB multi line up here too. Even on nickels and dimes. I sometimes play the All Star 2 machines myself for a break.
