Kings Reign - Sort of

Post by Tedlark »

Twiddling my thumbs about 5:00 am this morning, I decided to take a drive over to Harrah's Joliet and test the waters. I started out at one of my favorite 10 play machines and promptly lost $800.00. I decided to jump to a different machine and within 5 minutes, up popped:

Being up wasn't good enough for me and I wanted more. The more I got was walking out of Harrah's, mad at myself, for only leaving up $500.00. The old green eyed monster took hold of me today and I failed to follow some of my own basic advice. Later on, I was dealt quad 8's while playing ACJP but I failed to get the magic joker. Oh well, at least Ohio State lost yesterday.

Thanks, OTA. I would rather have had Christmas in my pocket instead of tier credits in my account. Oh well, up is up. It was a short reign today.

Good luck to you.

Thanks Ted. Your short reign would probably equal a marathon session for me.

Ditto! That is a very tough game, but when it hits……I play Joker kings sometimes, but cringe at the thought of hitting a real Royal on this game. On the other hand, the five of a kind long term will hit more than 5 times as often than a Natural Royal. 👍

Thanks, olds. The only time I don't cringe when hitting a natural royal on this game is when it's dealt. 500 x 10 is a pretty good payoff then.

Good luck to you.

Thanks Ted. I like your usual hit and run methods. Requires extreme discipline as you know and it just fails sometimes. If we didn’t like the games and playing, discipline wouldn’t be a problem. If I had followed the hit and run rules for all of 2024, I would be ahead a nice chunk right now. No many of the math guys will say in the long run. It doesn’t matter. I still stand by my statement I made years ago that video poker is like a sine curve Tilted slightly downward and when it’s in or near the top of the curve, that’s when we have to bail out. Or if not bail out at least go back to playing because we like to play. Oh well, I don’t think either of us are missing around with mortgage or household money so that’s a good thing

Or if not bail out at least go back to playing small because we like to play. Oh well, I don’t think either of us are missing around with mortgage or household money so that’s a good thing.
