On Bob Dancers VP for Winners Strategy card the paytable for NSU is :
1 2 3 4 4 10 16 But on the software it is 1 2 2 3 5 9 15. What is the True Nsu paytable? Also, when I changed the paytable on the program (to 16, 10) it was telling me to save 2 Pair. Why is this. Isn't general rule of thumb only save one pair? thanks
NSU paytable

The general rule is when a full house pays 4, same as 4oak you hold both pair. if full house pays 3, you only hold one pair. I always select the lowest pair because I don't want to make a mistake when playing Bonus Deuces where 3,4,5 pays extra. Exception is to always hold the Aces. They are bonused also.

You are liable to see it (oak) referred to as ( tree). Just a fun, slang term that happened here. ( I.E. 4tree)

Right you are Ed. The 16-10 paytable was nicknamed NSU because it is better than the 15-9 paytable, often called ugly ducks (also Illinois deuces and Airport Deuces).
The key to understanding when to hold one pair or both pairs in deuces is quite simple. If the 4oak pays more than the FH only hold the pair, if they pay the same then hold both pairs. Naturally, pairs of deuces are handled separately.
BTW, the other paytable is called Full Pay Deuces Wild (FPDW).

I remember reading a column with the term"airport ducks". I've never seen or read Illinois deuces. Do you know the origins of either term Shadow?
