Harrahs Total Rewards

Post by Tedlark »

Hi Gang, does anyone know if Harrah's bumped up the points required for Diamond and Platinum levels for next year? I heard a rumor that these were kicked up but I guess I didn't get the memo. Thanks,  Ted.

i dont know but harrahs is making it very hard to qualify as they are removing decent paytable games and degrading diamond room. since they went private equity they dont seem to care about retaining business and just looking for weak playing tourists. it seems it is time to move on get the comps that we can and find another casino that wants our business

had some people bump us in a diamond food line, seven stars they were,100,000 pts per year, that would be like putting a million dollars through machine a year, bob dancer types,or maybe table players!

I'm sorry, Harrahs has been off my list since they checked me out early a couple of years ago. They are the stingiest outfit around. The big problem is other Casinos are seeing that they are getting away with it and doing the same.

Oddly enough, I've hit 13 royals and every single one of them have been at a Harrah's property.  Twice in a day when staying at Paris last December.
All in all, probably 50% of my play is at Harrah's properties. This is over the course of roughly 4 years averaging a casino trip about every 10 days.

One of those interesting facets of gambling is just how many people are luckier at certain casinos. I can't tell you how many times I've heard comments like "they sure have tightened these machines at casino 1, I have much better luck at casino 2". The interesting part is I hear this at both casinos where the people are referring to exactly opposite situations. I know I've experience varying luck at different casinos playing the exact same game. But, it seems to change back and forth over time.
The comment by royal flush was based on the pay schedules which has been true at Harrah's for years. Luck is a different topic altogether.

I pretty much agree with Shawdowman but as far as the Grand Casino in Tunica which was owned by Harrah's Entertainment goes it went from being the place to go to the place not to go. It got to the point where almost nobody was playing the slim selection of video poker they had to offer. The employees were rude and the place was just not as clean as what it should have been. Now since the changes I have to say in the few trips I have been able to make there are plenty of players and they have a lot of video poker to choose from. I have done well in all of those trips and was even given a free hotel room even though I wasn't using my players card. For now they are my prefered place to place.
